OMG...thank you so much!!!

Friday afternoon I was going to erase all settings and data...to sell my iPhone. (I have 2, don't ask...ha) In the middle of everything, it just got stuck...on the black screen with the apple. I tried EVERYTHING I could think of. iTunes wouldn't recognize the device.

I did the DFU Recovery Mode thingy...and I am on my way to working again!!!!

YOU ROCK!!!

Just read through your post, and I found it very informative. Keepup the good work.

Well here goes my dellimer. On a very joyful sunday afternoon, I decided to update the music library on my iPhone 3G (after installing some third party apps to the phone), without knowing that I was about to send my iPhone to its' DOOM!!! During the process of updating my iPhone library, the status bar at the top of the iTunes stoftware indicated that it was backingup the iPhone but apparently it got stuck. So I decided to restart my phone, but it kept doing the same thing, whenever I tried to update the music library on the phone. so I decieded to hard reset the phone. That was when the main problem started. The iPhone just refused to boot. It just got stuck at the apple boot logo. Then I decided to suff the web for some answers, so I ended up here, and I got the informtion on how to restore my phone. But I still have one more problem, the iTunes software (9.0) I am running doesn't want to restore the phone to my customized settings. Any suggestions?

"Seriously, where will apple iPhone be without people like you?!"

There IS such a thing as a stupid question. If you ask a question and you provide little to no information for anyone to help you I won't even allow the comment to be posted.

Bubba...

Be sure to place your iPhone in Airplane mode before running an update up syncing. This will prevent phone calls or text messages from interrupting the process.

Other than that, the recovery process for me takes about a half hour. Any long than that and you should start again.
